Full disclosure, I'm trying to edit a page on a different fandom.com wiki, but I haven't been able to find an answer to the problem I'm having with organizing images on a page. More specifically how would I be able to organize the pictures to have rows like this (I don't know why thats being marked as an external link). Can anyone explain, or a least link a good tutorial?

WoWWiki general
This is one of multiple threads to break up a really long discussion following a successful vote to begin reuniting the communities using Wowpedia's infrastructure.
This thread narrowly focuses on searching, identifying and migrating superior main-namespace content and associated files (images) to Wowpedia.
Please refer side-discussion to the main thread or these other subtopics:
BACKGROUND
- Wowpedia began as a fork of WoWWiki and therefore originally had the same content ten years ago
- Two two communities diverged since then, producing content in parallel as World of Warcraft evolved through several expansions
- Most content on WoWWiki will undoubtedly be present on Wowpedia also, but some content on WoWWiki may be missing or a superior quality due to the randomness of volunteer contributions.
DISCUSSION SUMMARY
The following quotes are cherry-picked and edited for brevity
- "There may be some older data, mainly pictures, from from Classic WoW that were later replaced/deleted and now irretrievable on Wowpedia," (Pcj, 22 May 19, Thread:386246)
- "It'd be up to [the community] to figure out which content to move over," (Mira Laime
, 22 May, Thread:386246#4)
- "I know for a fact unique content exists on WoWWiki, after personally creating articles and adding content/pictures to the wiki over the years that was not (and in some cases may still not be) available on Wowpedia. I am sure many others have done the same," (Sitb
, 24 May 19, Thread:386246#31)
- "There is a lot of content on both sites, much of it with the same origin - and stuff that may not have been written by the same person is generally still talking about the same stuff," (Pcj, 29 May 19, Thread:386246#65)
- Responding to a question about classic, "Xporc is leading the charge of setting up the structure for classic articles, but there may have been screenshots, etc., from Classic WoW that didn't make the transfer from WoWWiki to Wowpedia fro one reaeson or another. Having WoWWiki as a resource in these cases would be usful. For some content, though, it may be easier to just start fresh rather than trying to dig thorugh history and deleted pages," (Pcj, 1 Jun 19, Thread:386246#69)
- In a previous wiki merger, "Fandom's SEO team used analytics to identify search keywords where the less active wiki still outranked the active wiki. The content specifically serving those keywords was then reviewed and transferred more or less manually using Special:Export/Import", (Mira Laine, 26 Feb 2020, Thread:386246#133)
- "The keyword/hit approach is also beneficial for images, because if you know which pages serve responses then you focus on images present on those pages," (DDC, 27 Feb 2020, Thread:386246#137)
ACTIONS TAKEN SO FAR
- The Fandom/WoWClassic and Fandom/WoWMovie wikis have already been closed and merged to Wowpedia
This is one of multiple threads to break up a really long discussion following a successful vote to begin reuniting the communities using Wowpedia's infrastructure.
This thread narrowly focuses on interwiki relationships between different languages of WoWWiki and Wowpedia.
Please refer side-discussion to the main thread or these other subtopics:
BACKGROUND
- In the main thread, inter-wiki links was a subtopic brought up only a couple times in relation to the French and Spanish wikis (the former being most active on WoWWiki, the latter having already migrated).
- There has not been significant discussion about other languages up to this point, nor involvement of their adminsitrators and communities in the discussion.
DISCUSSION SUMMARY
The following quotes are cherry-picked and edited for brevity
- "The French wiki would certainly be welcome to merge ... but if you wanted to stay on Fandom I'm not going to force the issue," (Pcj, 2 Jun 19, Thread:386246#74)
- "To be honest, I would like to stay on the French wiki because I find the French Wowpedia very incomplete, in comparison," (Maslenain, 2 Jun 19, Thread:386246#75)
- "WikiWoW (fr) has twenty times as many content pages as fr-Wowpedia, and 12 active users in the past month versus only 1; the disparity is so huge this discussion in French could easily be had the reverse way: closing fr-Wowpedia to support the much more successful WikiWoW!" (DDC, 17 Jan 2020, Thread:386246#85)
- "It'd be certainly possible to close fr-Wowpedia (has been done on a few other non-WoW wikis already), though it'd be 'cleaner' to keep all the branding the same between versions. Otherwise, the Crossover project mostly focusses on EN wikis and taking the other-language versions along for he ride unless ther are protests," (Pcj, 17 Jan 2020, Thread:386246#86)
- "We are indeed focusing on English wikis right now, since this is a huge project and we have to prioritize somehow. Of course, we stil lwant to encourage international communities to merge as well wherever it makes sense. We're just not actively approaching them at the moment," (Mira Laime
, 20 Jan 2020, Thread:386246#87
- "On Fandom, it's possible to have Wiki A link to Wiki B via interwiki links, and have Wiki B link to Wiki C (not A) via Interwiki links. It just requires a different setup," (Mira Laime
, 14 Feb 2020, Thread:386246#102)
ACTIONS TAKEN SO FAR
- The Spanish edition has already migrated to Gamepedia infrastructure and receives inter-wiki links via the es: namespace.
Hello,
I'd like to suggest that someone with more expertise than mine would add a field to the Infobox template so people could specify cities' and countries' year of founding / establishment (where it's known). If you feel like it, 'Year of destruction' could also be added.
I know most related information is very vague, however it would be useful to make it more easy to find.
Thanks,
GoldSkull
As was discussed and mostly agreed upon in this thread, it makes sense to focus everyone's efforts after the release of Classic WoW on Gamepedia's Wowpedia, that is already the most active and most visible WoW community, and where efforts to make space for the new old information have already begun.
This thread is to see if the Fandom WoW community is on board with that plan, and if so, to see if there are any questions.
Do any of you fear Wowpedia is not the place for Classic WoW information? Why not? Are you planning on contributing but don't know how or where to start? Got any other thoughts on this?
Note: Fandom staff established a dedicated Classic WoW wiki last year on Fandom, but since it has no active community and competes with the other WoW wikis rather than to complement them, it is better to archive that wiki, move the useful content (of there is any), and point its visitors to Wowpedia. I have made a post on the topic in Discussions to give the users there a chance to weigh in.
*blows the dust off account*
Taking this discussion from userspace and speaking as a Wowpedia admin here. I'm also the wiki manager for Wowpedia and spoke briefly to Sitb about coordinating.
Frankly, I feel that it is pretty obvious that as far as content Wowpedia is now vastly more developed and if one wiki should be shut down it will need to be WoWWiki. Just getting that out of the way and trying to speak objectively there. Trying to get the content on WoWWiki up to date would just be an utterly monumental task. And moving Wowpedia as a separate wiki back to the Fandom platform would similarly be folly.
That said, there may be some older data, mainly pictures, from vanilla WoW that were later replaced/deleted that are now irretrievable on Wowpedia that we now want back (for WoW Classic mode) and I might expect WoWWiki could be beneficial in that respect.
I also had the idea that WoWWiki could be re-tooled to focus more on fan-developed content. Certainly Fandom's community tools would be a more conducive experience to that goal.
Finally, I don't think we should need to feel any pressure from Fandom/Gamepedia to merge/close one wiki. But I do believe WoWWiki's days ought to be numbered. Splitting the community isn't great, especially when one wiki is fairly well maintained for current content and the other... well...isn't.
Feel free to add content from Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta:

See http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/Arshudar_Al-Muhdarin. Although s/he cleaned up the vandalism of the previous edit by http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/109.42.0.216 , that is an extremely inappropriate edit note.
Can someone tell me how to report a User for Vandalizing a Wowwiki page.
The user in question goes by the name of Martin953 and he/she has be vandalizing the Dalaran topic page [mainly through subtle changes of the words, like changing all the Dalarans to 'Dalarns' and what not and by adding silly notes/ links and just false information all through out the page. Out of respect I've been undoing most of these changes but the user [Martin953] continues to change things in poor quality. You can take a look for yourself and view the history of the changes.
If someone can report him/her [ Martin953 ] or instruct me how to report it properly I'd be very grateful. Thank you.
Hey WoW Fans!
I’m looking to liven up Overwatch Wiki a bit -- it’s still fairly small and could use some love.
As I'm sure most of you know from your Battle.net launcher ;) Overwatch is a dynamic team FPS/MOBA with a rich cast of heroes.
And I’m betting there are some people here who love both games.
If you enjoy both, give us a hand at Overwatch Wiki!
I’ve made some minor edits that you can improve on, or here’s some ideas for where to start:
- Junkers
- map pages: Hanamura or Adlersbrunn, etc.
...or you can look at what’s needed via Insights.
Love, TOR
P.S. This is part of an initiative to build some bridges between our related communities, in this case those of Blizzard games aficionados.;) And perhaps show you some corners of the wiki world that you haven’t seen yet. Give it a try, even if it’s just one edit! :) Thanks!
When i was watching some WoW Videos including trailers on YouTube last weeks. The High Elves became the Blood Elves (aka. The Horde High Elves) due to the loss of the Sunwell.
I think Alleria or other High Elves probably the last ones actually?
I dunno what to do about them because i like Blizzard Entertainment Elves better.
Comment here.
Dorei
- Naz'dorei - meaning children of the sea or water (Probably Sea Elves or Seaborne?)?
- Mak'dorei - meaning children of the wave or sea? (Probably Sea Elves, Seaborne or Waveborne?)?
- Xaxas'dorei meaning children of the chaos (Probably Chaos Elves, Chaosborne or Fel Elves?)
- Tel'dorei - meaning children of the earth (Probably Earth Elves, Earthborne or Wood Elves?)
- Nor'dorei - meaning children of the heavens (Probably Heavenborne, Sun Elves or Light Elves?)
I wish Blizzard can make their own English-Blizzard Game Language (Eredun, Orcish, Darnassian/Thalassian, Nazja, etc) translator that does proper, unproper and other modes for languages similar to translators. And more words for English to other languages too.
Which Blizzard game language i want to speak after i'm done working on a dictionary post on Wikia, Hive and other sites.
Feel free to read or look around at my blog post on Wikia.
User blog:FeruEnzeru/Blizzard Language Dictionary (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, etc.)
Eredun? Draenei? Draconic? Khalani? (I know some Khalani words and phrases) Orcish? Or any other?
Pick any choice of blizzard language and comment/reply here.
What if we were to host a chat party here? It would definitely liven up this place socially and really allow users here to get to know eachother. Since I have become chat moderator, about 3 users have been in chat. This is most likely because the chat is dead. If everyone who likes to join chat once in a while joins at the same time, people can actually talk about the thing they love - WoW!
The Vanguard team is coming to do some of their Portability magic at WoWWiki!
You should mostly not notice as they are mostly just making things better, but if you see some infobox suddenly looks funky, leave a message here so the admins can take a look and consult with the Vanguard team to fix them.
Current list of projects
- {{Npcbox/Draft}}† - this is a big one since it affect thousands of pages, so we need to make sure this one is really good
- {{Infobox quest/Draft}}‡† - another big one, but less complicated (hopefully)
- {{Infobox ability/Draft}}‡ - high-use, but also less complicated
- Examples: Blur/PI, Eye Beam (demon hunter)/PI
- {{Infobox talent/Draft}}‡ - lower use and very similar to ability infobox
- Examples: Throwing Axes/PI
- The original template was out-of-date, but I updated the original and the portable one, so take a look.
- {{Infobox faction/Draft}}†
- {{Infobox town/Draft}}†
- {{Infobox zone/Draft}}†
- {{Infobox book/Draft}}‡
- {{Infobox instance/Draft}}‡
- {{Infobox race/Draft}}‡
- {{Patchbox/Draft}}†
- {{Guildbox/Draft}}†
- {{Battle/Draft}}†
- {{Battlepetbox/Draft}}†
- †FishTank working on
- ‡Technobliterator working on
Good candidates for update
I would like for this community to come more alive. I am contemplating leaving Encyclopedia SpongeBobia but I really love Wikia. If this wiki becomes more active, and social, I will put all of my time there into here. I will start expanding galleries and such. I just need a reason to come here, besides my love for WoW. Any ideas on what we can do to make people want to chat and such?
Join chat! Tis a wonderful place! Well, it would be.
Guys, this chat is DEAD. I may be a moderator, but if my belt is still buckled, and my hair is curlier than a bird's nest, well, y'all bettah hang onta ya hats!
Join chat, so I am not sitting in here alone.
Hi, I'm Sawpog46. I love World of Warcraft, and I love this wiki, and also, I love chats, so because I come on this chat all the time - And am on right now - I would like to try out for Chat Moderator. Where do I start a petition to become one?
