When Gul'dan appeared in Suramar City, he gave the Nightborne a choice: bring down the barrier around Suramar, give him access to the Nightwell and become allies of the Legion, or be destroyed. Afterwards, Thalyssra, Melandrus and Vandros talked about Gul'dan's intentions. Melandrus said that Legion is trying to negotiate, Vandros replied that it is always better to negotiate when you have the opportunity. Thalyssra called Vandros a fool for trusting demons. Melandrus ended the argument saying that they can argue all night but the decision lies with Elisande. Two days later, Grand Magistrix made her decision: allegiance with the Legion. Thalyssra unhappy with Elisande's decision formed a rebellion but was quickly stopped. Vandros helped Elisande to bring down the barrier.[1]
