This NPC could be a reference to the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The main character's full name is Buffy Anne Summers and briefly at the beginning of the 3rd season she goes by her middle name so as not to be recognized while working as a waitress. The cheese reference is most likely when Willow tells Riley "She likes cheese... I'm not saying it's the key to her heart, but Buffy... she likes cheese."
