Karlain is a human mage. He displays discipline that his son, Mardigan, lacks. He became a member of The Six.

Biography

Before becoming a member of the Kirin Tor, Karlain was a mage of renown. When one of his students attempted to rape his wife Aredhel, Karlain used his powers to fight off the attacker, furious Karlain accidentally killed his wife aswell. He swore that he will never again let his anger overcome him.

Aethas Sunreaver wanted to return to Dalaran after being exiled in Purge of Dalaran, giving the Kirin Tor an information about Felo'melorn. Khadgar calls for a vote to bring back the Horde to Kirin Tor. Ansirem Runeweaver was the one who said that Aethas would betray them again if he gets an opportunity. Karlain replied saying that if Aethas wanted the blade, he wouldn't give them the information he had.
