Archmage Trelane[2] was once a studying wizard in the Tower of Arathor. There he created a defense system that will call Summoned Guardians to your aid if you use a prepared gem. It seems that this wasn't enough as he fled Stromgarde not long ago. He is the original master of Archmage Malin, who now sent Skuerto to recover some of Trelane's belongings from the ogre controlled part of Stromgarde.
According to Malin's Request, Trelane is located in Stormwind City.

Trelane left several items in the tower, all named after Trelane. They are:
[Trelane's Phylactery] in Trelane's Footlocker- [Trelane's Orb] in Trelane's Chest
- [Trelane's Ember Agate] in Trelane's Lockbox.
- [Trelane's Wand of Invocation] held by Kor'gresh Coldrage, which enables the wielder to cast frost spells, most notably Trelane's Freezing Touch.[3][4]
