Arei also appears in Stormrage, battling the Emerald Nightmare from within the Emerald Dream together with Zaetar and other guardians of nature. Arei finds and helps Broll Bearmantle inside the Dream and then leads him to Zaetar, who's in charge of the defenders' resistance.

Although Arei appears as a spirit during his escort quest in Felwood, he has somehow entered the Emerald Dream physically to battle the Emerald Nightmare as described in Stormrage. How Arei managed this feat remains to be explained.
Patches and hotfixes[]
- Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Inlinegfx/img_link_data.json' not found. Patch 1.3.0 (07-Mar-2005): Arei the Treant is now PvP-enabled. If Horde players attack him while Alliance players are escorting him, the Horde players will now be flagged for PvP.
