The Battle of Theramore (also known as the "Battle for Theramore") is an event after the death of Deathwing where Horde forces ordered by Garrosh Hellscream lure a large portion of the Alliance forces to Theramore Isle and attempt to destroy them all at once using a mana bomb enhanced by the focusing iris stolen from the Blue dragonflight. Garrosh is largely successful, but fails to take the remnant of the island when a force of Alliance heroes comes to the aid of the city and recovers the iris from the crater while being rallied to defense by Jaina Proudmoore.
