- With the conflict heating up between the Horde and Alliance in Pandaria, both sides continue to seek the upper hand in this seemingly endless conflict. While the Alliance grows stronger amid the pressures of war, the Horde, under the weight of Garrosh’s command, continues to fracture. The Darkspear Trolls are rebelling, Orgrimmar is on lock down, and the Warchief has sent crews into the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and into the Northern Barrens in search of resources to push his war machine forward.[1]
Battlefield: Barrens is a world event introduced with Patch 5.3 in the Barrens of Kalimdor that presages the attempt to remove Garrosh Hellscream from leadership of the Horde. At the forefront of this effort is the Darkspear Rebellion.
Unlocking the world event requires you to do several new scenarios and a quest chain showing the underlying politics behind your faction. Doing this, will award you with a special title: Hordebreaker or Darkspear Revolutionary
Once the world event is unlocked, players can collect Kor'Kron supplies via various ways: Such as killing elites, escorting caravans, looting crates and attacking Kor'Kron camps to purchase vanity items and armour.
