Battlemaster

A battlemaster is an NPC that offers characters the opportunity to join the queue for battlegrounds.

Each capital city has several full-time battlemasters, one for each battleground, as well as a Wintergrasp Battle-Mage and a Arena Battlemaster. Additional battleground specific battlemasters that either stand around or roam the city only appear on their respective battleground's holiday weekends.

When using the tracking system with the minimap they will appear with the Alliance and Horde icons () at their locations.

Patch changes

• Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): Battlemasters in major cities affiliated with specific Battlegrounds have been replaced with a Battlemaster for each faction that will allow players to queue for any Battleground. Battlemasters for specific Battlegrounds will still be seen around the cities during corresponding Battleground holiday weekends.
  
• Patch 1.7.0 (13-Sep-2005): Characters that use the Battlemaster to enter a Battleground will now port back to that Battlemaster when they leave the Battleground for any reason.
