Blizzard Watch is a popular blog and news site about World of Warcraft. It is a continuation of a previous site known as WoW Insider, which shut down in February 2015 because of budget issues with Joystiq.[1][2]
Several of WoW Insider's popular bloggers moved over to Blizzard Watch. This transition was spear-headed by Wow-insider's Editor-in-Chief, Alex Ziebart, and made possible through donations via Patreon.
In mid-2017, forums and Discord chat were added and Alex decided to focus more on fiction writing and stepped away from his role as Editor-in-Chief.[3]
