Boostard is a term (presumably derogatory) that began circulating around the time the Boost to 90 feature went live[1] as a feature of the Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Inlinegfx/img_link_data.json' not found. Warlords of Draenor expansion.
It isn't settled yet, but likely refers to the character that took advantage of the boost to level 90. However it could refer to a player that only has a level 90 because of the boost feature. It could also refer to how the player does not know how to play their class well compared to someone who went through the leveling process. This could result in frustration for Dungeon groups and Battleground groups at higher levels.

Blizzard seems to be aware of this problem and added a new feature with Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'Module:Inlinegfx/img_link_data.json' not found. Legion called Class Trial to try to reduce it for Boost to level 100 users.
