The Borderlands was an area within Azeroth between the forces of the Horde (domains of Blackrock Spire, Black Morass, and Swamps of Sorrow) and the human forces of Azeroth (domains Elwynn Forest, Stormwind, Northshire, etc.) during the First War. The orcs held a small outpost there and the humans held a small stronghold in the Forest of Elwynn. Both had skirmishes with each other, tasked with ridding each other from the area.

This forest is inhabited by dark trolls, which scaled beasts snack on. The tileset is called "Ashenvale".[1] (WC3MP )
