The term captain can mean a variety of different things in World of Warcraft and other Warcraft-related areas:
- A military title that has different meanings in different types of military service.
- Air force: The leader of any large aircraft (zeppelin) with similar sub-officers to naval vessels.
- Army: The leader of a company of soldiers (indeterminate number) with sub-officers typically lieutenants and sergeants.
- Navy: Usually the leader of any seagoing vessel (boat or ship) with sub-officers being first mate and other mates.
- Part of a rank name, Knight Captain, in the old PvP Honor System.
- In Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, it is a rank you can achieve.
