Coldridge Valley is the starting area for young dwarven recruits and contains the base camp of Anvilmar

[35.4, 66]

. It is located in the southwestern corner of Dun Morogh, and was linked to the greater area by Coldridge Pass to the northeast prior to its collapse. The road to the pass led through a tunnel which was infested with trogg raiders. It continues east after the collapse and then north through Kharanos

[51.9, 50.2]

, and further winds up the mountains, terminating in the dwarven capital of Ironforge

[59.5, 31.6]

.

Coldridge Valley contains three small camps where dwarves receive missions to defend the region from the encroaching troggs, trolls, and wildlife. Other tasks are also to be found, from collecting gear parts to delivering hot stew. When the young recruits are deemed ready to move on, they are sent further into Dun Morogh via flying machine.

The earthquake from Deathwing's passing collapsed the cave leading out into Dun Morogh, disrupting the troggs and isolating the dwarves from the remainder of the zone. As such, they are unaware of their king's fate. The troggs are attacking from the east because they blame the dwarves for the destruction of their home, while there is an unsettling disturbance among the trolls to the south - likely due to events in Northrend with the loa.

The dwarves are ill-prepared for an all-out trogg attack, trained more for thwarting the wildlife, and so fall quickly on the outskirts of Anvilmar. Players are tasked with pushing back the invasion.
