Commander Durand was a member of the Scarlet Crusade and served in the rank of commander.

During the war between the Alliance and Horde and the discovery of Pandaria, Commander Durand helped High Inquistor Sally Whitemane to rebuild the order. However, he was soon defeated by the combine heroes from the Alliance and Horde that were tasked by Lilian Voss, a former member of the order, to put an end to the Scarlet Crusade.
