Defense bonus is a Hearthstone attribute. This number represents how much extra damage a hero can absorb before losing health. So far, minions cannot have defense bonus, but they can have immunity to damage, damage mitigation (maximum damage limit like only 1 damage per attack received), or shields (usually absorbs 1 attack).
