The elven horse (or Quel'dorei Steed[1] partially in Thalassian[2]) is a breed of horse bred by the high elves. According to the high elves, generations of breeding had created an animal far superior to its mundane cousins. Each rider is said to be in tune with their horse, so much so that a simple grunt from the animal could alert the rider to danger.[3]
The elven horses of Quel'Thalas were known to exist since Warcraft 2. They were the symbolic crests upon sails of ships such as the Elven Destroyer, and sunken destroyers in locations such as the Wetlands have sails with elven horses upon the banners.
