Eye of the Storm is a shaman talent in the Elemental tree. It greatly reduces the pushback suffered when you take damage while casting any offensive spell.

Notes

The pushback duration reduction from this talent stacks with other similar effects, such as Earth Shield and Concentration Aura. The effects are additive, and it is possible to reach 100% pushback reduction. Combining three points in Eye of the Storm with Earth Shield will make the shaman immune to pushback.

Note that pushback is not the same thing as interruption. Eye of the Storm will not give any protection against abilities such as Kick or Counterspell. Instead, the Restoration talent Focused Mind reduces the duration of such effects.

Tips and tactics

This talent is especially valuable in PvP, as it lets you cast offensive spells more reliably while taking damage, and allows the use of Hex to escape from melee classes.

Patch changes

/ Patch 3.0.2 (14-Oct-2008): Changed from granting pushback immunity for six seconds after being crit to a passive reduction of pushback duration.
