Dark Origin came to be a few days after the release of Burning Crusade. Due to the lack of 40mans in Burning Crusade Content, and the introduction of all 25-man end-game dungeons, many bigger and further progressed guilds decided to reform into smaller guilds, as well as rid of many of the lower-ended players. Dark Origin came from the guild Templar, and was formed 6 days after Burning Crusade on January 22nd, 2007.
