This article is a guild information page for Dire Beef of Dark Iron US.

The contents herein are entirely player made and in no way represent official World of Warcraft history or occurrences which are accurate for all realms. The characters and events listed are of an independent nature and applied for roleplaying, fictional, speculative, or opinions from a limited playerbase only. Guild pages must comply with the guild page policy.

<Dire Beef> is a nation-wide casual raiding guild on the Dark Iron server. Usually raiding from 2:30 to 11 PM server time on Tuesday through Sunday, spread across three different groups, none raiding more than four hours a day. They have cleared through Zul'Gurub, Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair, The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, Blackwing Lair, Karazhan, and Gruul's Lair; they have opted to skip Magtheridon's Lair for now. The Lurker Below is now on farm status, and they are now learning the Hydross fight. They are known for their universal greeting of "Moo," and for being rather effective in endgame raiding despite the extremely laid-back attitude.

Guild Activities[]

When raiding with Dire Beef, one can take notice of their odd and, quite often, bizarre boss strategies that prove to be surprisingly inventive. Although focused mainly on PvE, they also lead the occasional PvP engagement, like the Dire Beef Wedding Raid, and have several high-end Arena Teams.

There are currently four successful Karazhan runs, named Team A and Team Fighting Mongooses (after a Futurama episode), Team Beaver Punch, and Team Meerkat. A and the Fighting Mongooses are down to a two day full clear, with Team Beaver Punch on the way to it, while Meerkat routinely does full clears in one day.

Dire Beef also has a scheduled 'Sunday Funday' as it's teasingly called, where the more dedicated raiders form a group with the alts and newer members to run older dungeons "just to do it."

The Dire Beef Experience[]

Like many guilds, Dire Beef has a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere, and passes most of the day cracking jokes and generally being silly. These conversations can often be laden with in-jokes and running gags, which may confuse new members, but are explained quickly.

Recruitment is generally closed outside of relatives and close friends, but there are always exceptions. Invites are based solely on the current mood of the officers and their impressions of the individual; there is no requirement of any sort.
