Half-breed[1] (aka crossbreeds)[2] are any species or individual biologically related to at least two separate species. The term half-breed was used by orcs and ogres to refer to Rexxar in the Third War.[3] Half-orcs, half-elves, and half-ogres are examples of half-breeds.[4] (APG 34, 36) [5] (HPG #?) Rexxar and Med'an are examples of half-breeds. It can be used as either a technical[6] or derogatory term. Half-breeds are occasionally treated as hybrid races, though the reverse may not always true.
While some custom character models may be created for especially notable half-breeds, they are typically represented in World of Warcraft by existing models.
Types of half-breeds[]
- Half-draenei
- Half-human half-ogre
- Half-orc
- Half-troll
- Half-elf (Half-high elf, half-night elf, etc.)
- Half-ogre
- Half-human
- Half-ogre mage
- Half-night elf (a.k.a. Half-kaldorei)
- Half-blood elf
- Half-giant
- Ogre (half-breed) (Different than the full-blooded ogre race.)
- Half-Dragon (while their existence is unknown the dragon's habit of taking a mortal form logically makes such unions possible, Drakonid and Dragonspawn might be of such coupling. Love interest of Jorad Mace to Tyrigosa may be a proof.)
