- Use: Teaches you how to transform into an Obsidian Nightwing, allowing you to carry an ally on your back. This is a flying mount. As with the X-53 Touring Rocket, it can carry a passenger.
Introduced on July 16th, 2012 as the new Recruit-A-Friend program reward. Summons an Obsidian Nightwing mount that looks like dark stone cat with wings, glowing eyes, and an armored helmet.

- As of Patch 5.0.4 with the release of Account Wide Mounts, Recruit-A-Friend mounts ARE Account bound[2] despite an earlier blue post[3] stating that they would not be.
