The Highmountain Tribe is a faction of Tauren within Highmountain on The Broken Isles. The Highmountain tribe has historically been an alliance between three separate local Tauren clans: the Bloodtotem, Rivermane and Skyhorn.
History[]
War of the Ancients[]
The Highmountain tauren are descendants of Huln Highmountain, a war hero from 10,000 ago. He was the one who united Rivermane, Bloodtotem and Skyhorn tribes under a banner of Highmountain. Huln recieved a gift from Cenarius: the Horns of Eche'ro, which transformed the horns of Huln and his tribe into moose-like antlers. After the war, Huln used the Hammer of Khaz'goroth to banish Deathwing from Broken Isles.

Going on 10,000 years later, the Burning Legion has returned to Azeroth. Until recently, the tribe was led by Ulan Highmountain. With Ulan's death, his daughter Mayla Highmountain now leads the tribe as its High Chieftain.
The theft of the Hammer of Khaz'goroth by Dargrul the Underking is threating to tear the millennia old alliance apart. The Bloodtotem clan pledged themselves to the Burning Legion, turning their backs on their historical membership within the Highmountain tribe. However, in their place a drogbar "Stonedark" clan led by Navarrogg has joined the tribe.
Reputation[]
Players can raise their reputation to Honored with the Highmountain Tribe by simply completing quests within the Highmountain zone.
To reach higher reputation with this faction, players have a few options:
- Complete World quests (typically within the Highmountain zone)
- Kill bosses within Neltharion's Lair
- Loot [Highmountain Tribe Insignia] from treasure chests
Rewards[]
The Highmountain Tribe's quartermaster, Ransa Greyfeather <Highmountain Emissary>, can be found at Thunder Totem within Highmountain. A few additional items can also be purchased from Slyhoof the Shameless Shaman, also found at Thunder Totem.
