The imperial chamber was King Terenas' throne room, and a part of his royal palace. It had silken curtains, golden chandeliers, and a pure white marble floor. He would entertain honored guests here at times, especially Lord Prestor — who seemed to have great access to the king.[1] (DotD 23)
Sunlight streamed down onto the floor, which had intricate designs with concentric circles and a triangle in the middle. Within the triangle was another circle with the golden seal of Lordaeron in the center.[2] (ToD 27)
A twisted mockery of the imperial chamber exists in the form of the Shadow Throne. The Lich King – or rather, Arthas's dwindling presence within the Lich King – created it in his Halls of Reflection of the Frozen Halls of Icecrown Citadel.

If you walk in the Throne Room, you will (remember to turn up your volume first) hear the voices of Medivh, an unknown councilman to King Terenas, Terenas, Arthas, and some unknown ghostly voices that could belong to Lord Prestor, young Varian Wrynn, and Anduin Lothar.
