Jack was a poor human farmer near Southshore that joined the Cult of the Damned. When a trio of knights rode by his farm, Jack invited them in and provided them hospitality that they hadn't experienced in a long time. Jack listened when they discussed their current plans on where they were heading. Afterwards, Jack murdered the knights by poisoning their stew. He reported what he had learned to the Cult of the Damned, who advised him to leave Southshore for his own safety. Jack sold his farm and chartered a boat to Northrend.[1]
