Josiah Avery was a human man who lived in the grand nation of Gilneas.

Before the Shattering ever occurred, Josiah was among many Gilneas' inhabitants that were infected by the worgen curse. During the siege of Greymane City by the Bloodfang worgen, Josiah was approached by a Gilnean adventurer, but gave a warning to stay away from him since he wasn't feeling well. That was when Avery transforms into a worgen, and then attacks and knocks away the player, only to be shot and killed by Lorna Crowley.
