Lightning Wasps were level 70-71 unclassified mobs that could be found in Bash'ir Landing in northern Blade's Edge Mountains. They could deal 13-427 damage and had normal resistances. Attacking one while in range of an ethereal at Bash'ir Landing will cause the ethereal to aggro.
As of Patch 2.4[]
Due to unknown reasons Lightning Wasps have been removed from the area, perhaps Blizzard felt there were too many mobs there to begin with or were simply unnecessary. Currently they can't be found in game.
