Lorash Sunbeam was a blood elf quest giver and assassin based in Ashenvale. He is one of the Horde's points of contact during the War of the Thorns.
Lorash was born in Tirisfal Glades; his father perished while on a hunting trip. He was later involved in the blood elf war with the Amani trolls, witnessing several of his friends die. Ultimately his mother was killed and raised by the Lich King in his advance toward Quel'Thalas. Due to this history, Lorash blamed the night elves for their inaction, not swaying from his opinion even knowing the kaldorei were fighting the Burning Legion at the time.

Lorash was one of the first assassins briefed by Varok Saurfang as to the Horde's true intentions in massing their army. Rather than setting out for Silithus, a group of rogues would infiltrate Ashenvale and engage in the first strike against the night elves. It took Lorash little convincing, and he relished the opportunity to potentially face even Malfurion Stormrage in combat.
He was one of two assassins responsible for the death of Anaris Windwood, the Commander of Ashenvale, though retreated and left his Forsaken companion for dead when they were pursued by the Sentinels. He later was responsible, along with a goblin hunter, in destroying Ferryn's unit of druids that were slowing the Horde's advance.
Due to his hatred for the night elven people, he took a risk and tried to assassinate Malfurion Stormrage while in Ashenvale. Malfurion easily stopped the attack, attempting discourse with him in order to understand the rogue's hatred and motivations. They were interrupted by the arrival of Sylvanas Windrunner. When Lorash attempted to assassinate him again, Malfurion killed him.

Little of Lorash's story is told in the War of the Thorns chain. He serves as a quest giver for Horde players before disappearing. Unlike in A Good War, Lorash not only takes part in the attack on Astranaar (killing one of the night elf commanders), but also seems to be in charge of all the assassination attempts throughout the region.
