A mana serpent
Mana serpents are a type of dragonkin that are suffused with arcane energy. They appear similar in shape to mana wyrms, but are much larger. They may be the adult form of these lesser creatures, which also have an affinity for arcane magic, although they are not defined in-game as dragonkin like mana serpents consistently are. Mana serpents use the model that was originally intended for nether dragons in early stages of the development of the Burning Crusade expansion, as can be seen in its first official trailer. The model was later switched, and the mana serpent model was not used at all in WoW's first expansion. Mana serpents appeared for the first time in Wrath of the Lich King.
