Lady Mara Fordragon was the High Clerist of the Kingdom of Stormwind during the period of the First War.[citation needed] After the orcs decimated much of the kingdom, Lady Fordragon became the patron of those refugees of the war who chose to flee to the northern nation of Lordaeron, which had thus far been untouched by the fighting.
A statue of Lady Fordragon can be seen in the Royal Gallery of Stormwind Keep within Stormwind City as well as the Paladin Order Hall, Sanctum of Light.[citation needed] She has presumably passed away due to the wording ("May she rest in the Light.") of the plaque below the statue. In addition, the other persons depicted in statues in the gallery, Llane Wrynn and Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, are deceased (unlabeled statues identical to those of Archmage Khadgar and Ranger Captain Alleria Windrunner are also present — Khadgar and Alleria were thought to have been killed in the destruction of Draenor).
She shares a last name with Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, the former regent to prince Anduin Wrynn during his father's absence.
