Where did it come from?
The Mysterious Red Crystal is located in the Darkshore.
[47.3, 48.7]Hostile moonkin are being drawn to it. It seems that embedded inside the crystal are a few small fragments of bone, as well as half of a jawbone of what may be a humanoid.

- Sentinel Glynda Nal'Shea suspects it came from Felwood.
- It may be a Bloodstone.
- The model file of the crystal mentions Illidan.
- In the Cataclysm quest "The Skull of Gul'dan" it is implied that this crystal is the altar that The Skull of Gul'dan was kept on. The jawbone would be a part of the skull that Illidan did not take with him.
