Nesingwary's Expedition

Nesingwary's Expedition before the Cataclysm

Nesingwary's Expedition

[44, 23]

is situated just below the river north of Lake Nazferiti in Northern Stranglethorn. In the period before the reopening of the Dark Portal, the dwarven master hunter Hemet Nesingwary led an expedition into Stranglethorn to hunt some of the wild game that traversed the jungles. After the way to Outland was opened, Nesingwary left the Stranglethorn expedition in the hands of his son, Hemet Jr., and traveled to Nagrand to pursue more dangerous game.

This camp is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous and volatile places in the game on PvP servers, regardless of player level — with a seemingly endless supply of level 30-40 players and roaming gankers at 60+ to test the mettle of those who choose to quest in STV.

This barely qualifies as a town, but it does feature a repair-capable weapons vendor and some static quest-giving NPCs. The quests found here are optional, neutral, and in the style of a hunting expedition. They consist almost entirely of slaying a set number of beasts, and are perfect for any player who wants to gain a few levels without excessive traveling.

In the World of Warcraft: Trading Card Game.

In Cataclysm

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

Now Nesingwary has a proper road leading to his expedition. In addition, the encampment is now a full-fledged, fortified camp.[1]
