Nuramoc is a level 70 rare mob chimaera that spawns in Netherstorm. It flies relatively high along one of two patrolling paths. It appears to be a silver chimaera.

Attacks and abilities

• Basic Melee: Hits a decently-geared tank for around 1500.
• Poison Bolt: A ranged nature attack for 1300, with an additional poison.
• Lightning Bolt: A ranged nature attack that jumps to multiple targets. Around 1300 first hit.
• Prismatic Shield: Deals 45 arcane damage to attackers when hit by a spell.

Strategy

A balanced group of 5 level 70s can kill Nuramoc without a great deal of difficulty. Nature resist gear can make the encounter somewhat easier.

The main issue is pulling him, as he flies quite high. If you follow his patrol path, he should come close to the ground at one end of any given patrol.

It is recommend to control him with a stun or something else, because he deals a huge amount of damage.

The 'Poison Bolt' can be countered and the 'Prismatic Shield' can be purged or cleansed. The purge of his shield lasts forever like an aura, after patch 3.0.2 it lasts for only 2 minutes.

Past Patch 2.4 he appears to have been weakened considerably, and is soloable.

Patch 3.0.2

This section concerns content exclusive to Wrath of the Lich King.

With Patch 3.0.2, Nuramoc becomes tameable for level 69 Beast Mastery hunters with [Exotic Beasts] (or pre- 51 points spent in the Beast Mastery talent tree).
