In the novel, it is written that Owynn was handpicked by Mathias Shaw to lead the SI:7 rogues sent to liberate Ironforge and assassinate Moira Thaurissan. He appears as a quest-giver in Frostfire Ridge as part of Alliance players' Garrison campaign.
