Prince Farondis is the ruler of Azsuna, during the War of the Ancients, he was one of the few Highborne who stood against Azshara's reign.

When Queen Azshara allied herself with the corrupted titan Sargeras, few Highborne dared to stand against her, Farondis was among the few. Farondis' plan was to destroy the Well of Eternity, he would use the powerful artifact Tidestone of Golganneth which was stored at the Nar'thalas Academy.

Unfortunately, Azshara's loyalist Vandros heard of Farondis' plan, he reported the Prince to Azshara herself. The Queen wasted no time in punishing the citizens of Azsuna. She destroyed the Tidestone of Golganneth and in doing so released a wave of dark magic all over the land, leaving it's inhabitants to wander for eternity, only because of Farondis' wrong allegiances.
