PvP Resilience is a PvP specific item bonus introduced in Mists of Pandaria that increases the player's mitigation of PvP damage and to replace Resilience bonus on items and modify the Resilience on the player. This bonus only applies to attacks from other players.

Removal in Warlords of Draenor
PvP Resilience was removed as game mechanic in Warlords of Draenor. However, the stat still appears on some items which has been confusing to players and Blizzard has not been detailed or forthcoming about what it means for the stat to appear on items.
Base PvP Resilience
As of the Mists of Pandaria, all characters have a base PvP Resilience of 40%.[1]
In Patch 5.3
As of Patch 5.3, all characters have a base PvP Resilience of 65%.[2]
In Patch 5.4
As of Patch 5.4, all characters have a base PvP Resilience of 77%.[3]
