This quest starts the  [Green Scepter Shard] fork of  [The Scepter of the Shifting Sands] quest chain to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Players must have completed The Charge of the Dragonflights (and thus have neutral or better reputation with the Brood of Nozdormu) before Malfurion Stormrage offers players this quest.

Objectives

Travel to the continent of Teldrassil and find Malfurion's agent somewhere outside the walls of Darnassus.

Description

This is a journey of redemption, hero. Would it be that I was slain today, I would have died for a just and righteous cause. You must recover the green scepter shard. You must cleanse Eranikus of the taint placed upon him by the Old Gods.

Travel to Darnassus. Just outside the city walls you will find one of my agents. This agent will set things in motion for us and inform Tyrande of our plans without alerting Staghelm.

A fall from grace a thousand years in the making...

Completion

The wisp is silent except for a low humming sound. Oddly enough, it is able to communicate with you through thoughts.

Note

This quest starts in Sunken Temple, in the Shade of Eranikus room. Simply walk up to the shade to spawn Malfurion.

The quest NPC is a wisp (named   Forest Wisp). It can be found just outside the east gates of Darnassus in Teldrassil

proper. Upon leaving the gate, turn left and head up the path to the north. It's just left off the path hidden in a little cul-de-sac.

This is easy for Alliance to do, but Horde will need to venture through the city. As Darnassus is usually mostly empty this shouldn't be a problem, but take 2-3 friends along as company (and for PvP fun).
