Go to the bottom of the stairs, and cross the bridge. There, you will find Jaomin Ro, one of our eldest students. Challenge and defeat him in honorable combat, and this first phase of your training will be complete.

Notes

• Go through the bottom floor of the temple and down the stairs on the other side, descending into the Dawning Valley and across into the Tranquil Grotto.
• After defeating Jaomin, Shang Xi appears on the bridge near the Grotto.
• More than one player can complete the quest at a time.

Dialogue

Upon arrival, Jaomin Ro says:

Upon defeat, Jaomin Ro says:
