Description

You are now, and forever will be, a Knight of the Ebon Blade, <name>, but know this: you were once a hero of the Alliance.

<Darion stares at you.>

This order must establish allies for itself if it is to survive. You must represent the Knights of the Ebon Blade to the Alliance.

On the platform, southeast of me, is a portal to Stormwind City. Take this letter, given to me on your behalf by Lord Fordring, and deliver it to King Varian Wrynn. Use the portal.

Were it not for this letter from Tirion, you would be a stain upon my floor. Only an endorsement from one of the greatest paladins to ever live could have ensured your survival.

Notes

Players will find themselves outside the gates of a very unfriendly (that is your Reputation to Stormwind and all Alliance Factions at the moment, although not Hostile/KOS, you cannot interact with NPCs) Stormwind, even squirrels cower in fear. Any and all NPCs will show their displeasure and call for a rope or spit or throw rotten food. Varian Wrynn himself warns players that they have mere moments to live due to his curiosity before they hand him Fordring's letter (thereby saving your neck and not becoming a blood stain on the floor).

On completion:

King Varian Wrynn yells: People of Stormwind! Citizens of the Alliance! Your king speaks!

King Varian Wrynn yells: Today marks the first of many defeats for the Scourge! Death knights, once in service of the Lich King, have broken free of his grasp and formed a new alliance against his tyranny!

King Varian Wrynn yells: You will welcome these former heroes of the Alliance and treat them with the respect that you would give any ally of Stormwind!

King Varian Wrynn yells: Glory to the Alliance!

• At this point you will become Honored to Stormwind and all Alliance Factions (Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Gnomeregan Exiles, Exodar) and are free to roam about Stormwind and interact with NPCs. Make sure to get a Hearthstone if you so desire.
