During the time when the Burning Legion has made its invasion on Azeroth once again, Ragnvald and many Tideskorn Vrykul refused to follow Skovald when he and his followers formed the Felskorn that have allied with the Legion. Angered of Skovald's betrayal, Ragnvald now leads the Tideskorn clan to combat the Legion.
Throughout the war in the Broken Isles, Ragnvald led a great division of strong elite Tideskorn warriors to the Broken Shore and fought engaged a number of demons led by the annihilan Malgalor. He and all the Vrykul in his entire division were all killed by Malgalor during the battle. However, he and his fellow warriors were chosen by the mighty Odyn to be brought to the Halls of Valor as an eternal reward for their courage and been victorious against their foes.
Now reborn and immortal, Drakeborn and his fellow warriors that fought beside him were members of the Valarjar, and remained flesh-skinned rather than becoming Gold Vrykul or Val'kyr. He also became a loyal follower to the Battlelord who was chosen by Odyn to lead the Valarjar to victory against the Burning Legion. After hearing news of Ulduar falling under attack by the Legion, Drakeborn accompanied Finna and the Battlelord to provide aid in helping Thorim's army in defending the city and driving the enemy out.
