Renew is a priest ability learned at level 26 for those with the Holy specialization. It is a Heal over Time (HoT) spell, a strong heal and one of the more mana-efficient heals priests have available. It has slow moving threat, so it can play as a useful opening heal while the tank gains aggro or serves as a solid heal while aggro is bouncing.

• Patch 6.0.2 (14-October-2014): Renew is now available only to Holy Priests.
  
• Patch 5.2.0 (5-Mar-2013): The amount of healing done by Flash Heal, Binding Heal, Renew, and Prayer of Mending have been reduced by 20%.
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (28-August-2012): Effect changed from "Heals the target for X over 15 sec." (X based on rank) to "Heals the target for X every 3 sec over 12 sec." Now trainable at level 26.
  
• Patch 4.0.6 (8-Feb-2011): The mana cost of Renew has been reduced by 24%.
