Rom'ogg Bonecrusher

One of the rare "missing link" ogres on Outland, Rom'ogg Bonecrusher piqued the Twilight's Hammer Cult's interest with his merciless treatment of the ogres. He now lords over the Chamber of Incineration^{[49.8, 68]}

, sating his hunger for inflicting torment on others.^[1]

Rom'ogg Bonecrusher is the first boss of Blackrock Caverns. He and his fellow cultists attacked Finkle Einhorn and Raz Skullcrusher when the two delved into the Caverns. Though Finkle managed to escape, Rom'ogg and his fellow cultists beat and captured Raz, turning him into a monstrosity.

Tactics summary[]

Normal: Attack Chains of Woe when Rom'ogg summons them, then move at least 12 yards away until he finishes casting The Skullcracker. Move out of Quake spots.

Heroic: AE the Angered Earth that appear from each Quake spot.

Strategy[]

Clear the area the party intends to fight in before pulling, as he will attempt to call reinforcements first.
Rom'ogg does burst damage and will use his Wounding Strike randomly on the tank to reduce healing effectiveness.
When using his Quake ability, dust will form underneath players' feet. Move out of it. The tank will need to pick up the adds that spawn. They can either be dealt with, or Rom'ogg himself will kill them when using his Skullcracker attack (see below). The adds will need to be rooted as players move out of the Skullcracker's range for this to work.
At 66% and 33% he will draw everyone in and bind them with his Chains of Woe ability. Defeat the Chains promptly and retreat beyond 12 yards to avoid his coming Skullcracker attack. Once the Skullcracker attack is finished, move back in.
