History & General Information

The PvE realm Perenolde was one of the first EU servers to go online on February 20, 2005. The majority of the gamers are from german speaking countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland although there are also some players from neighbouring countries such as Poland or the Netherlands. Ever since the beginning the Alliance has dominated the server in terms of character count and they currently outnumber the Horde 2.3 to 1, making Perenolde one of the most Alliance biased servers in the EU. Nevertheless the Horde holds its own with tightly knit PvP groups that regularly raid Stormwind and thwart most of the Alliance's counter-attacks.
The high Alliance/Horde ratio makes it very easy to find quest or instance groups on the Alliance side of the server and makes it very hard to do so on the Horde side.

The server is most notable for the lack of anything to take notice of. PvE progression is mediocre and very few machinima movies come out of Perenolde. But on the plus side it's also one of the more stable realms and although there was a high population queue around christmas 2006, player numbers have since then shrunk allowing for instant access to the server at any time of the day.

October 3, 2007: A week after the introduction of patch 2.2 Perenolde was one of the 25 EU realms that had voice chat activated before all the others.
