This item is an imbue, and does not stack with other imbues.
With the introduction of Naxxramas, demand for this increased dramatically as a mat for Greater Shadow Protection Potion.
The Shadow Bolt almost completely behaves like a normal Shadow Bolt (Rank 3). It equally benefits from spell damage and it can proc Aftermath and on-spell-hit-effects. However, it is not capable of proccing Improved Shadow Bolt.
