Spectres or specters are incorporeal undead often mistaken for ghosts.[1] They haunt the places where they died, retaining their sapience, but now hating all living things. Mael Shelub "convinced" a local spectre in the Silverpine Forest to join his forces.[2][3] Most spectres resemble the more timid form of a shade,[4] rather than the fearsome servants of the Scourge who were created by ritual sacrifice.[5]
