Streaming client

Starting with Patch 4.0.1, the Streaming client was introduced that could download streamed, non-critical content while playing the game.

Patch 4.0.1

This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

The following interface elements were added to indicate that non-critical content was being stream downloaded:

• - appears at the center top of the screen and animates as content is downloaded.
• - appears in the Micro Menu while content is downloaded instead of the latency icon.

Patch 4.0.6

This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

• For opening cinematics there is now a streaming option interface in the login screen for play-on-demand.
