Whoa, somebody had a lot of time on his hands :P  - CJ talk / cont  02:45, 14 November 2006 (EST)

It was actually really boring...making the table in excel took like 2 seconds...then Copy past the whole thing in and I never ever want to type || agian. User:Jaidan
ah yes XEL was a smart idea actually. i did the first 6 calculations by hand before seeing the folley in that idea....  - CJ talk / cont  04:20, 14 November 2006 (EST)
Mental note to myself or whoever, table columns need a bit of color.  - CJ talk / cont  05:52, 14 November 2006 (EST)

Downloadable XLS spreadsheet[]

Will be coming soon, just need a proper place to upload it to. seems you can get your offhand speed to 0.38 sec with the proper gear, at which point you could regenerate up to 464.7 energy "per minute". Pretty sick.  - CJ talk / cont  07:45, 6 December 2006 (EST)

Minor inaccuracies[]

That's a fun analysis :) Good job!

I'd like to point out some inaccuracies though (and then you can decide whether you want to take them into account or not). When you mention that +24% hit gives you a 100% hit chance, you ignore Dodge, Parry, and Block events. (I list Block here even if damage is dealt, because I noticed that Quick Recovery treats Block as a damage avoidance event, and refunds 40%/80% energy even if you dealt tons minus a little damage (as of 2.01))

Normally you'd do 15 x SS per minute = 15x 350 damage = 5.250 (normally less, since you use energy for finishing moves) of that 30% are crits, and each of those crits do 30% more damage with lethality = 5.250*1.3*1.3 = 7.350

First of all, 5.250*1.3*1.3 = 8872.5, not 7350 :)

Second, I'm not too sure about that calculation. If you deal 5250 dpm with SS assuming 100% hit, and it crits 30% of the time for 30% extra crit damage, then you would get

5250 * 0.7 (hit) + 5250 * 0.3 * 2 * 1.3 (crit) = 7770

not

5250 * 1.3 * 1.3 = 8872.5

It might be a good thing to revise the Comparison vs Lethality subsection with this in mind. It would be great if you could make the comparison (5 Lethality and 0 Combat Potency) vs. (0 Lethality and 5 Combat Potency) clearer, because that's what the subsection title says yet it's not that obvious when reading the contents of that subsection. --Dorenthas 11:49, 5 January 2007 (EST)

ah, math is not my best subject, though i thought it was proper at the time. for the sake of easy calculation i left out dodge, parry, block and quick recovery.. ofcourse you can add it into the spread sheet. but for a table on the wiki. it's probably easiest to show a perfect situation.

if you see serious flaws in the calculation, feel free to edit them, this is a wiki after all :)  - CJ talk / cont  16:26, 5 January 2007 (EST)
