its isn't clear if the Fegin Death will turn off if one tries to use a health or mana potion or food. Could this be cleared up.

Combat log?[]

"No combat log message is generated, your pet will not disappear, and no honor points are granted so any experienced PvP opponents will notice that you are not really dead. While players will lose targeting if they have you targeted when you feign, they can still retarget you and attack you while you are feigning death."
Is this still valid? I mean, a friend of mine that wasn't in my group noted that the combat log generated a message "Dawnsolo dies". Through, since I wasn't killed I don't think "You have slain dawnsolo" was generated. --Dawnsolo 03:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

PvP Uses[]

It is actually surprisingly common for another player to mistake you for dead in PvP, especially in the chaotic battles in battlegrounds. I added that to the page, but feel free to delete it if it does not fit in with the page.  Bill I AM BILL AND I AM A TAUREN HUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (talk - contr - web)

  • You're right, but it's more likely that they'll fall for it if you're almost dead when you used it; after all, how many people can kill a Hunter at full health (especially one in all MAIL armor) in one shot? Using it when you're near death will more likely give them the impression that they actually did kill you. Felindre
  • Don't bet on it. Unless your pet is already dead, they'll KNOW you're feigning and will have you re-targeted in no time flat. All it WILL do is make them drop you as a target. WHile this can give you a split second advantage, it should never be relied on as the OSHIT button it is in PVE.
