Name?[]

Do we know this place's name before demonic corruption ? Was it simply a part of Mt. Hyjal ?--Kirochi 12:09, 9 May 2006 (EDT)

In WCIII Malfurion just calls it Felwood, and i believe the WCIII map labels it as felwood even though it hasn't been corrupted yet. I guess it was a part of Ashenvale or Hyjal before, but there isn't any info to back it up. Aedror42 (talk) 10:05, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Recent History[]

According to Timeline (unofficial), the Third War took place roughly eight years before modern WoW history, implying that the Skull of Gul'dan was not used to corrupt the land until this time. This conflicts with the history in the article that the night elves abandoned the land "thousands of years" ago. Is there a resolution for this? I'm researching some character history and want to get it right. :) Eranthe (talk)

This is only an assumption on my part, I think it may have had something to do with the Sundering. Since this zone is a big part of my character's history I needed to figure out something to work with, so I just figured this would be the most logical assumption. Hope this helped.Denamy (talk) 18:33, September 23, 2010 (UTC)Denamy (talk)
Felwood was first corrupted during the War of the Ancients, then further corrupted by the Skull of Gul'dan during the Third War. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:44, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Reversed?[]

Does anyone think that this zone will be returned to normal?

It's been years and the Cenarion Circle still hasn't turned it back to it's former self...

Unless you count the Whisperwind Grove.

Poll:Will the Curse be Reversed?

Unless Blizz revisits old zones for a post Cataclysm change, probably not. Leveling zones seem to be frozen in time and high level characters who return tend to be phased. --Gengar orange 22x22Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11 Aug 2015 1:44 PM Pacific
