I think some of these should be moved to a separate Guild Web Services page as they are not actually utilities to be used on one's guild web site. For example after a conversation with support for WoW Companion they are no longer or not currently publishing the source code or even a binary of their server meaning you can't install it on your own site. While it's their software to do with what they will most of the tools here are something a guild can physically install on their web site and I think there is enough of a difference between the two to merit two separate pages or to merit separate categories of "hosted services" and "applications". I just put together my guild's site using a few of the resources below along with some others and ... well ... it was a bit of effort to muck through which services were "hosted" and which you could run locally. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by WoWWiki-Kefka (talk • contr). 01:22, March 2, 2007

SPLIT PAGE
I've recommended this page for a split as it's huge. Splitting it at the Raid Management and DKP point would be a good place as it's approximately half way and keeps related items together. I agree with the above posted, but I think it could probably be split into three categories.

Guild Hosting Websites
Guild Website Utilities (Services?)
CMS

I think CMS is such broad software that it doesn't pertain directly to guild hosting or utlities. It's good to provide information about them, but it probably doesn't belong on the same page. Grimiz (talk) 15:59, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

TBH, this page is completely unwieldy. We may want to split this between free/subscription sites or possibly just make this ginormous chart into a smaller chart without a complete list of every single little feature. dont spilt a nice collection.[]

IMHO there is no reason to divide or split this nice collection of links for the WoW-webmasters. An index-box is at Your service, to the right, on top of the page. Start reading, stop scrolling ;0) Mostly text is on the page, and it should be problemless to load the page even with minor speed lines.

Redirecting Links[]

It appears as if some of the links on this page are redirecting, thus the A-Z ordering is not really valid. Take a look at the first result for example. Someone should go through and clean out this list. Also, there are several guild hosting sites that are built specifically, and only for warcraft, since this is wowwiki, I suggest a category being created specifically for these sites.

Hm, I personally think the current alphabetical ordering by hoster's name is the most logical and neutral - other wiki's do this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hi-tech_companies - etc). There's no point in distinguishing guild hosts that support multiple games, since the biggest wow hosting services all do, and they are all excellent wow hosts with specific wow features. Shivtr[]

I can verify that shivtr is legit. It's where my guild moved due to Guildzilla becoming a pay-only service. I believe all the features remain the same from mmoguildsites, but there could be some differences - haven't taken the time to look through it all yet. I updated all the links to their new site.
